Press Release: Amanda Adkins Visits the Southern Border as Sharice Davids Remains Silent on the Border Crisis She Created
(TOPEKA, Kan.) – Amanda Adkins, Republican candidate for KS-03 is traveling to the McAllen, Texas border this week to witness the Biden Border Crisis firsthand. While Adkins makes the trip to Texas, Sharice Davids remains silent on the border crisis she helped create. Illicit drugs are flowing into the country at an alarming rate. Drug overdoses reached an all-time high in 2021 due to Joe Biden and Sharice Davids’ open border policies. 2,071 pounds of deadly fentanyl – the equivalent of more than 469 million lethal doses – were seized at the southern border in July alone. Press Release: KSGOP Denounces Deceitful Ads from KDP and Sharice Davids
(TOPEKA, Kan.) – On Thursday, the Kansas Republican Party denounced the deceitful ads from the KDP and Sharice Davids’ campaign about Amanda Adkins’ record on abortion. Despite the lies that continue to come from Sharice Davids, the record clearly shows that Amanda Adkins has never called for a federal ban on abortion. Adkins is pro-life and has repeatedly stated that voters should make decisions about abortion in their states, not the federal government. In contrast, Davids wants the federal government to make decisions on abortion, not Kansans. Davids supports legalizing third-trimester abortions, taxpayer-funded abortions, and gender-selective abortions nationwide.

Nathan Jensen, a professor at the University of Texas-Austin who studies economic development incentives told the Kansas City Star: “My jaw is dropping that there aren’t wage and labor standards. From refusing to condemn violence from a pro-abortion activist in Winfield last week to cheering on the Joe Biden recession saying “bring it on,” to opening the door to gun control and even more abortions than the 13.5% increase seen since the start of her term, to losing a key endorsement due to ongoing scandal and turmoil caused

NEW DATA: Kansas Abortions Continue to Climb Under Gov. Laura Kelly
(TOPEKA, Kan.) – Abortions in Kansas increased again last year under Democrat Governor Laura Kelly, according to new data from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Kansas has seen an increase of nearly 13.5% in just three years as a result of Kelly’s policies making Kansas the abortion “sanctuary” of the Midwest. Nine hundred thirty-three more abortions were performed last year than in 2019, Laura Kelly’s first year in office. “The drastic rise of abortions in Kansas under Laura Kelly is a direct result of her efforts to make the state a ‘sanctuary’ for late-term abortion,” said Shannon Pahls, Kansas GOP Executive Director. “Kelly

Why Kansas needs the new Emergency Management bill
“I think everyone understands where we were back in March and where we are now. We certainly see the need for a quick response but also want to move toward a system of increased oversight, and review. The public deserves to have checks and balances.” This is a quote from New York Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins – a Democrat – as the New York Legislature prepares to pass a similar emergency management bill to the one being moved in our Kansas Legislature. TOPEKA, KS – If Laura Kelly is serious about her commitment to the #MeToo movement, she must call on Andrew Cuomo to resign from his position as Chair of the National Governors Association. Kelly campaigned in 2018, promising to #PressforProgress and “come together and be gender inclusive in all parts of our communities and government.” She hasn’t followed through on that promise. Why the “Equality Act” is nothing of the sort
Democrats are considering legislation today on the House floor called the Equality Act. Despite its name, the bill does the exact opposite of promoting equality. In fact, it would defeat the purpose of Title IX of the Civil Rights Act, which exists to guarantee women equal educational and athletic opportunities. Like Joe Biden’s executive order that threatens to withhold federal funding for schools unless they force women to compete with biological males, this legislation would permanently devastate girls’ and women’s sports. Cases already exist in which transgender individuals have sued Catholic hospitals for declining to perform hysterectomies on otherwise healthy

Kelly’s economy puts Kansas in bottom five states for personal income growth
TOPEKA, KS – Under the leadership of Governor Laura Kelly, the Kansas economy ranked in the bottom five states for personal income growth in 2020. According to an analysis of economic data conducted by Pew Charitable Trusts, Kansas ranked ahead of only Wyoming and North Dakota in personal income growth in 2020. The growth rate across all 50 states was 5.9%, more than double Kansas’ 2.7%. One reason for the lag could be the abysmal performance of Kelly and her Department of Labor throughout the pandemic. Well, the science is clear according to the administration’s own Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Dr. Fauci – we can safely re-open schools without having to wait for every single teacher in America to be vaccinated. All the Biden Administration can seem to say on this important topic is “teachers should be a priority” for the vaccine. No one

Biden proceeded to eliminate thousands of jobs, despite entering office when 900,000 Americans are filing new unemployment claims per week, and despite the fact that the Obama Administration found that doing so will actually increase carbon emissions by 42 percent. Neighboring states led by Republican governors in Oklahoma and Texas saw strong population growth. Even Democrat-led Colorado saw its population increase as Kansas remained stagnant. The Census report provides another data point in the failed record of the Kelly administration. Republicans, on the other hand, promised to nominate justices who would not legislate from the bench, protect the unborn, and uphold our Constitutional rights. In both elections, the American people spoke clearly by sending a Republican to the White House and expanding the Republican U.S. Senate

Kelly promotes partisan voter registration website from official government Twitter account
TOPEKA, KS – Governor Laura Kelly yesterday took to Twitter to promote a voter registration website with known ties to liberal organizations and significant privacy concerns from her official government account. As revealed by the Kansas Reflector, www.ksvotes.org is a voter registration website backed by Democrats that requires users to give up personal information in exchange for registering on its platform. “Language in the site’s privacy policy gives permission to Blueprint Kansas, the organization that operates ksvotes.org, to collect contact information, website usage, details about your phone or laptop, and all the elements of a voter registration form — and use this personal

Where is Sharice Davids on impeachment 2.0 and court packing?
TOPEKA, KS – As President Donald Trump and Senate Republicans move to exercise their constitutional authority to nominate and confirm a Supreme Court justice, Sharice Davids has some questions to answer about how Democrats plan to respond. Remember, Davids votes with Speaker Nancy Pelosi an astonishing 99% of the time. We know she will be a rubber stamp on whatever Pelosi brings to the House floor. In response to the Republicans’ plan to follow historical precedent and fill a Supreme Court vacancy in an election year where the same party controls the White House and Senate, Democrats are threatening unprecedented retaliation.

Setting the record straight on the Supreme Court
TOPEKA, KS – Over the weekend, Democrats and their defenders in the media have kicked the misinformation campaign into high gear regarding the history of the Supreme Court and the position advanced by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in 2016. Here are the facts. 1. History is on the side of Republicans when it comes to filling Supreme Court vacancies. 2. There have been 10 instances where a vacancy has occurred in an election year where the party opposing the President controls the U.S. Senate – most recently in 2016. Of those 10 instances, the President’s nominee was only confirmed three times. 3. There have been 19

Bollier’s gaffe goes unreported in debate coverage
TOPEKA, KS – Barbara Bollier awkwardly repeated the words “excuse me” over and over, refusing to acknowledge her support for late-term abortion when pressed by Roger Marshall in today’s debate in the race for U.S. Senate. You can watch the exchange here – it’s astonishing. A moment of direct confrontation between the two candidates would normally be considered noteworthy. Particularly when it involves the controversial stance held by Bollier, a topic of millions of dollars in television advertising in this year’s campaign, and an issue at the forefront of voters minds with a new vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court following the

KSGOP statement on U.S. Senate debate
TOPEKA, KS – The Kansas Republican Party issued the following statement on today’s Kansas Senate debate hosted by the Kansas Agriculture Network and WIBW: Kansas GOP Chairman Mike Kuckelman commented: “The contrast in this debate couldn’t be more clear. Barbara Bollier spent the entire debate reading her answers from talking points provided by Washington Democrats. Roger Marshall spoke with authority on the issues and a commitment to defending Kansas values in the U.S. Senate. “This debate was a good preview of Election Day – a clear and decisive victory for Roger Marshall.”

Davids manipulates Adkins video – where’s the outrage?
TOPEKA, KS – The Sharice Davids for Congress campaign has released a new television ad featuring manipulated video of Amanda Adkins, a practice members of the media have been decrying as out of bounds for the better part of the last week. The Davids ad features video of Amanda Adkins out of context suggesting that “our children deserve better” than “her and Brownback.” The footage used by the Davids campaign comes from an Adkins campaign ad in the primary discussing border security, COVID-19 response, Democrats, and the media. It bears no resemblance to the context in which the Davids campaign used the footage. Where is the

Why is Sharice Davids prioritizing marijuana legislation over COVID-19 relief?
TOPEKA, KS – Sharice Davids and House Democrats are prioritizing marijuana legalization over helping small businesses and American families deal with the ongoing pandemic. Rather than spending her time pushing House Democrat Leadership to come to the table on a deal for a new round of COVID-19 relief, Sharice Davids is cosponsoring partisan legislation to legalize marijuana. On Friday she joined 106 other Democrats as a cosponsor of H.R. 3884. This follows Davids’ vote for the Democrats’ dead-on-arrival HEROES Act that featured similar pot provisions. Why is Sharice Davids so focused on marijuana while families and business in the Third District are struggling under the worst

Who wrote it: Kansas City Star or Bollier Campaign?
Now that the general election is in full swing, the media is in hyperdrive defending Barbara Bollier’s campaign from legitimate critique and refusing to challenge her on even basic positions and votes. This morning, the Kansas City Star published an article that should more appropriately be titled “In Defense of Barbara Bollier.” Here are the most glaring problems with today’s article: 1. Somehow, it goes the entire “pandemic politics” section without mentioning that Roger Marshall was well out ahead of anyone in the political world warning Americans about the threat of COVID-19 in a January editorial. It also fails to mention Marshall left the campaign

KSGOP statement on State Finance Council meeting
TOPEKA, KS – The Kansas Republican Party today issued the following statement on today’s vote to prevent Governor Laura Kelly from unilaterally imposing any new lockdowns that would destroy our economy: Kansas GOP Chairman Mike Kuckelman commented: “It’s no wonder Laura Kelly’s economic recovery continues to trail every other state in America. Just yesterday she had to ask the federal government for a bailout from the devastating effects of her first statewide lockdown. Today, she nearly jeopardized the state’s entire emergency response to preserve her ability to shut us down again. “Kansas Republicans continue to lead on solutions. More lockdowns are not the

Sen. Denning: Barbara Bollier is no moderate
BY JIM DENNING SPECIAL TO THE STAR To view this editorial online, click here. Kansas state Sen. Barbara Bollier’s entire campaign for U.S. Senate is built on a fiction that she hopes no one will challenge. As a member of the Johnson County delegation to the Kansas Legislature who has served alongside Bollier for almost a decade, I’d like to present the truth. I speak about working across the aisle from experience. My work on mental health issues and crisis stabilization centers with Democratic state Rep. Kathy Wolfe Moore earned both of us national recognition from the National Council of Behavioral

Adkins supports police, Davids thinks law enforcement system “rooted in violence”
TOPEKA, KS – While Amanda Adkins has signed the Police Pledge, promising to support police officers and oppose all efforts to defund the police, Sharice Davids remains silent on the issue. But Davids’ own past words illuminate why she won’t commit to opposing the defunding of police. Her extreme record makes clear which side she’s on. Davids thinks our law enforcement system is “rooted in violence.” She told the audience at a May 2018 candidate forum as such: “I think one of the problems that we have when we talk about police violence is that we often focus on individuals within a system

Kansas last in unemployment recovery under Kelly Administration
TOPEKA, KS – Kansas is experiencing the slowest unemployment recovery in the nation under the leadership of Laura Kelly, according to a new study. Kelly’s economic response to the virus has been nothing short of a disaster. More than 80,000 Kansans continue to file for unemployment benefits each week, and for more than a month Kelly has dragged her feet on applying for the extra $300 per week under President Trump’s executive order. While Kelly played politics, 45 other states applied for and received authorization for the benefits. Under Kelly’s leadership, Kansas also ranks in the bottom five states in coronavirus testing capacity. Being at or

TOPEKA, KS – The Kansas Republican Party today issued the following statement on today’s State Finance Council meeting: Kansas GOP Chairman Mike Kuckelman said: “The Kelly Administration has sat idly by for nearly a month while 45 other states applied for and received the additional $300 weekly federal unemployment benefits authorized by President Trump’s executive order. Weeks have gone by while Governor Kelly has forced Kansans facing immense hardship to struggle for no reason other than their governor playing politics. “Only four states have determined the need for using an additional $100 per week in CARES Act funding for unemployment benefits. Will Barbara Bollier ever condemn the left-wing violence in our American cities?
TOPEKA, KS – Roughly 60 days from Election Day and 90 days since violence, rioting, and looting has gripped American cities, Barbara Bollier remains silent. Like numerous Democrats vying for Senate seats across the country, Bollier has been implementing the Schumer “windowless basement” strategy. She’s spent her time raising money from donors in California and New York, rather than explaining her stances on the issues to Kansans. Meanwhile, Roger Marshall has been clear and unequivocal. The son of a police chief, he recently signed a pledge to “stand with America’s Police and pledge to oppose any bill, resolution, or movement to ‘Defund the Police.'” He’s condemned

Demand Judicial Nomination Oversight Now
Support Common Sense Oversight of Judicial Nominations: Judge Jeff Jack’s nomination failed 38-0 due to suspected violations of judicial ethics resulting from vulgar and partisan social media posts. Governor Kelly’s nomination of Judge Jeff Jack to the Court of Appeals was the first Court of Appeals nomination to fail in Kansas history. Governor Kelly used the same selection committee for Judge Jack as she would in order to fill a Kansas Supreme Court vacancy. Governor Kelly’s nominating committee did not properly vet their selected candidate. If Judge Jack had been nominated to the Kansas Supreme Court he would not have

Petition: Constitutional Amendment to Protect Life
Judicial Activism From The Kansas Supreme Court: April 2019, the Kansas Supreme Court found the Wyandotte Constitution written in 1861 protects the right to have an abortion. The Kansas Supreme Court continues to play politics with their court rulings. The court waited for over 2 years to make their ruling after the 2018 midterm election. Over 19 enacted pro-life bills are in jeopardy of being nullified by the Kansas Supreme Court. Reversing this Supreme Court decision can only be done with a constitutional amendment. Will you protect life by demanding the legislature put a constitutional amendment on the ballot? By
