Where is Sharice Davids’ outrage on Biden’s border crisis?

TOPEKA, KS – Despite border conditions being a central issue of the campaign that got Sharice Davids elected to Congress, she remains silent about the existing crisis at our Southern Border caused by Joe Biden’s immigration policies.

There is a crisis at the border. According to CBS News:

As of Sunday morning, U.S. Border Patrol was holding more than 4,200 unaccompanied migrant children in short-term holding facilities, including jail-like stations unfit to house minors, according to government records reviewed by CBS News.

Nearly 3,000 of the unaccompanied children in Customs and Border Protection (CBP) custody had been held longer than 72 hours. CBP is legally obligated to transfer most unaccompanied minors to the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), the agency which oversees shelters licensed to house children, within three days of taking them into custody.

The number of unaccompanied children in CBP custody on Sunday represents a 31% increase from early last week, when the agency was holding more than 3,200 minors. The number of children held longer than three days more than doubled.

At a CBP facility in Texas currently at 729% capacity, kids are being separated from family members, held in cages, forced to sleep on the floor, are starving, and only showering every 5 days.

These are virtually identical conditions to those heavily critized by Davids, not only on the campaign trail but also as a member of Congress in 2019
Now that we have a crisis of Joe Biden’s making, Davids is silent and talk of “ensuring accountability” is gone.

Was her concern for treatment of children and families at the border ever real? If it was, where is that same concern now?
