Support Common Sense Oversight of Judicial Nominations: Judge Jeff Jack’s nomination failed 38-0 due to suspected violations of judicial ethics resulting from vulgar and partisan social media posts. Governor Kelly’s nomination of Judge Jeff Jack to the Court of Appeals was the first Court of Appeals nomination to fail in Kansas history. Governor Kelly used the same selection committee for Judge Jack as she would in order to fill a Kansas Supreme Court vacancy. Judicial Activism From The Kansas Supreme Court: April 2019, the Kansas Supreme Court found the Wyandotte Constitution written in 1861 protects the right to have an abortion. The Kansas Supreme Court continues to play politics with their court rulings. The court waited for over 2 years to make their ruling after the 2018 midterm election. Over 19 enacted pro-life bills are in jeopardy of being nullified by the Kansas Supreme Court. Reversing this Supreme Court decision can only be done with a constitutional amendment.
