Kelly’s ‘strong push’ on Space Command ends in total failure

TOPEKA, KS – The Kansas Republican Party today issued the following statement on the U.S. Air Force announcement that no Kansas location is among the six finalists for U.S. Space Command headquarters:
Kansas GOP Chairman Mike Kuckelman said: “Governor Kelly promised a ‘strong push’ and announced she was going ‘to use all resources necessary to support the selection of Kansas’ as Space Command headquarters. With today’s announcement of six finalists and none in Kansas, we know her effort was a total failure.

“We need a governor who can deliver on promises, and Laura Kelly is not up to the task. From her mismanagement of the COVID-19 pandemic, to overseeing America’s worse unemployment recovery, this failure to deliver on this effort joins a long list of disappointments this administration has overseen in just a two year span.

“If she even decides to run for office again in 2022, we are going to soundly defeat her.”
